Researchers are given a set amount of play money which they must wisely use in order to but the materials necessary to build their racers.

The scientific Method Stick.
Dennis and Ivan use observation skills to figure out how the Scientific Method Stick works.
Using focused observation techniques, these young researchers hypothesize as to the inner workings of the "unknown" mechanism.

Once they have gone tested various hypotheses, they then open up the Stick to verify if their final hypothesis was correct.
